The Gangsters of Love
Biography
Like a Molotov cocktail of spaghetti-western garage rock gypsy punk, with a dash of soulful swing and rockabilly for extra kick, THE GANGSTERS OF LOVE create a whirlwind of musical flavors both sexy and sublime and rocking and a rolling. Mixing catchy guitars and crooner vocals, with accordion, harmonica and horns against wicked rhythms, they like to call their sonic landscape “Post Mafia Swing”.

Formed by DANNY LIPPITT, MARC CURCIO and JOEL PRITZL , three American ex-pats now living in Barcelona Spain, The Gangsters have been wowing audiences across Spain and Europe with their blend of original and tasty sounds, bravado and on-stage antics. Individually they all paid their dues, and then some, performing, touring and recording in North America. But it wasn't until they found Europe as their home that they were really able to experience true amour-propre.

The band has been hailed by METROPOLITAN MAGAZINE as “a swinging, soulful fusion of cultures”, and BCN WEEK called them “The new bad-boy prophets of debauchery”. Mini Guide said "Real Love has got to hurt a little seems to be the philosophy of this band made of "hit men-de-amour"... an incredibly sexy, soulful fusion of swing, garage and punk."

DANNY and MARC also play in the bands THE LOWDOWN and PRANK. MARC CURCIO also plays in BANNISTER RIDE and THE NEAR DEATH ENSEMBLE.
