Marcel·lí Bayer (Barcelona, 1982) is a multi-wind instrumentalist, arranger and composer. He plays mainly alto sax and has been involved into numerous musical projects with local musicians like Santi Careta, Ivo Sans, Dácil, Adrià Plana, Masa Kamaguchi, Marco Mezquida, Xavier Maristany or David Mengual and has also played with international well-known names such as Maria Schneider (who directed the ESMuC big band when he was a student of that Catalan College of Music) or Lee Konitz, featured on Marcel·lí’s first acclaimed album Nonitz featuring Lee Konitz (Quadrant Records, 2011).

Empra el saxo alt com a instrument principal i ha format part de nombrosos projectes amb músics locals com Santi Careta, Ivo Sans, Dácil, Adrià Plana, Masa Kamaguchi, Marco Mezquida, Xavier Maristany o David Mengual.
A més, ha tocat també amb figures jazzístiques internacionals como Maria Schneider (qui va dirigir la big band de l’ESMuC mentre ell hi estudiava) o Lee Konitz, present en el primer disc d’en Marcel·lí, l’aclamat Nonitz featuring Lee Konitz (Quadrant Records, 2011).
