Since the beginning, Balkumbia was shaking music scene of Barcelona, playing in city celebrations, bars and venues, such as Marula, Diobar, or Mariatchi, and soon reaching out to representative venues such as Razzmataz and Sala Apolo, sharing the stage with musicians such as Balkan Beat Box or Chico Trujillo.

In 2016, the band went for its first tour, playing 20 concerts in nine European countries, in festivals and venues such as Samsara (HUN), Vida Laska (GR), Vibra Balboa (ESP), Hootanany (UK) ...

In 2017 first transatlantic tour was organized. The band went to Chile, playing in venues such as Casa de Salud, Ele bar or Salsoteca Maestra Vida, sharing the stage with bands such as La Mano Ajena or Anarkia Tropical

In 2019 Balkumbia was nominated as the best band in Barcelona, by the Association of musicians of Badalona. Same year they went on their second tour to Latin America, passing through 8 cities in Mexico and 4 in Colombia.

In 2020/2021 despite the global situation Balkumbia continued its musical and creative journey spending time in recording studio and performing in Spain.

2022 The band has recently released their third studio album Mala Suerte and getting ready to present it all over the globe! Their next stops are Mexico, UK, France and many more to come!
